Ancient Grains

Introducing Ancient Grains – good ol’ fashioned grains, just how they’re meant to be – 100% nutritious, 100% delicious, 0% modified.

Why Ancient Grains?

Our range of high-fibre, whole grains have not been bred or genetically modified like ‘modern’ grains and are loaded with essential vitamins and minerals.

Our range is packed with three types of grains that have been fuelling our ancestors for generations:

  • Quinoa – originating in the Andean region of South America and domesticated between 3,000 – 5,000 years ago, quinoa is a complete protein, rich in magnesium, zinc and iron.
  • Teff – one of the earliest plants to be domesticated, teff originated in Ethiopia between 8,000 and 5,000BC. Teff is high in fibre and is a plant-based source of calcium.
  • Amaranth – A staple in the diets of pre-Columbian Aztecs, amaranth was cultivated 6,000 – 8,000 years ago and is a complete protein that’s high in iron, magnesium and vitamin C.

As well as being high in fibre, each of our Ancient Grains granolas are also packed with different combinations of fruits, vegetables and seeds, like chia (packed with calcium and iron) and pumpkin seeds (a good source of magnesium), to make them even more nutritious!

Why Chiamp is for Champions

“What do you mean by plant-based protein?” we hear you ask… Well, allow us to explain.

Complete plant protein contains all 9 of the essential amino acids which play a crucial role in our working bodies - helping with muscle strength, growth and repair as well as strengthening the immune system and improving brain function.

Consuming complete sources of protein is really important – this is because essential amino acids are not produced by the body, so they have to be obtained from the foods we eat.

Paleo Granola

Introducing Paleo Granola - our range of tasty granolas and granola bars inspired by the no-frills diets of our caveman ancestors. Completely grain free, low in carbs and higher in healthy fats and protein – it’s all the crave man!

Why Paleo?

The Paleo diet is often called the ‘caveman diet’ – as it stems from the diets of our caveman ancestors more than 10,000 years ago!

Believe it or not, most of Paleolithic ancestors were not great hunters and relied much more on foraging. This meant that our diets were traditionally more that 70% plant-based.

The modern Paleo diet takes these age-old principles and applies them to the modern day – encouraging us to adopt a whole-food approach to eating that sees us shun grains, dairy, legumes and refined sugars and instead fill up on plenty of fresh vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds and protein.

Inspired by our ancestors, we’ve carefully selected each ingredient within our Paleo Granola range to create an assortment of tasty granolas and granola bars that are both nutritious and delicious!

Each product from the range contains whole nuts, coconut and chia seeds combined with dried fruits & superfoods like goji berries, cacao nibs and lucuma. Give them a try and you’ll see why they’re all the crave man!

Raw 46

Introducing Raw 46 - our range of raw snacks and sprouted grains, carefully created below 46°C to preserve vital nutrients and enzymes.

Why RAW 46?

It sounds obvious, but nutritious foods provide nourishment to our bodies. That’s why it’s important that we care about what we’re eating – because our bodies deserve only the best and most wholesome foods.

Any time you expose a food to heat you will naturally lose some of the nutrients. But just how much goodness is lost depends on how high the temperature is and how long the food is exposed to heat for.

Raw foods are packed with naturally occurring enzymes which make it possible for our body to absorb nutrients and which our bodies use for many metabolic processes, such as digestion. Heating food above 49°C can destroy some of these plant enzymes which means that it's more difficult for our bodies to absorb all that goodness.

That’s why we’ve created ‘Raw 46’ – a flavour-packed range of raw products that have never been exposed to temperatures above 46°C, meaning you get the maximum nutritional benefit out of every delicious bite.
